In this short story, I wanted to represent how perhaps a Viking chief, after so many battles and painful losses, reached a point of feeling unwell and desperate. Contact with Christianity might have alleviated his spiritual ailments in those difficult and violent times. In the end, due to space constraints, we couldn’t include these pages in the book Vikings: Saga of the North, but in the future, I can use them to create a short story.
